About Brittney Phinisee

Hello, my name is Brittney Phinisee. I am currently classified as a sophomore at the University of South Alabama. I am from Edwards, Mississippi, and graduated from Hinds Community College in 2009 with an AAS degree in Sign Language Interpretation. I moved to Mobile, Al the summer of 2012, shortly after the birth of my first son, because my husband duty station is Mobile. My husband is a Navy recruiter and our last duty station was Gulfport, Mississippi, where I lived for three years. I enrolled at USA, the spring of 2012,to get a degree in Elementary/Special Education. I never thought I had the patience to become a teacher, but after working in the school system for four years, I realize my passion for children and educating them.I want to make a difference in every child life that I come in contact with and be a great role model.

I am the youngest of three siblings and we were born to deaf parents, which has inspired me to be an advocate for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. I have five nephews and four nephews, whom I love dearly. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like to read love, drama, and suspense novels whenever I can manage to squeeze the time in. I also like going to the beach for relaxation or riding down a country road with soft music to help clear my mind. I love shopping, going to the beach and having cookouts for family and friends.

Randy Pausch Time Mangement
Randy Pausch's video on time management Randy Pauch Time Mangement, made me realize how easy it is to make goals and not fulfill them. I learned from watching the video, that whenever I am making a decision whether small or large, I should ask myself the same questions that Pausch mentions in his video. Pausch made a good point when he said we should plan every level because I learned when planning every level you are thinking through every step and not just making plans and not sticking to your plans.

Randy Pausch was a professor at Carneige and died of terminal cancer. Pausch left behind three children and a wife. He became really recognize with his last speech titled the Last Speech and was turned to a book.

Time Management Problems

I liked the time management lesson Time Management because that website provided me with charts that I could fill in and print to keep for my records. I found that I am always making to do lists and not following through, but if I plan the whole semester and make a list every week, I may stick to my schedule. I really can see myself relating back to the website to help manage my time wisely.

  1. Everything looked very good with your blog, except there was no link to the Randy Pausch video.
